Spotted in Bulacan: A Simple Resort Turns Into A WOW RESORT!

Unknown     3/11/2016  12 comments

When I was in grade school, I used to be a feature writer in my school's newspaper. I once featured a resort in my hometown - Villa Lorenzo Resort, one of my favorite hangouts when I was a child because of it's popularity and it's entertaining, yet laid-back ambiance.

Just like any other typical resorts, it was indeed a happy place for a child like me. I was not even a teenager back then. All I can remember is, I loved it because of their pools and slides - that's all.

Well, that was a long time ago. Almost 20 years ago.

2016 -  I couldn't imagine that I'm now writing another article about the same resort. This time, I was not obliged and paid to write. I was not forced to submit an article for my school's newspaper anymore. I am now writing this because of two reasons - First, I was astonished and excitement really hit me. Second, they deserve to be featured.

Villa Lorenzo Resort

I recently went back to this place for my nephew's birthday and I was really surprised.

It's not the typical and simple resort with pools and slides that I used to know. It was renovated and everything was spruced up splendidly. Can you imagine yourself having a pool party here while they play The Chainsmoker's Roses? That's a big sigh a with a big smile, eh? Sounds cool and relaxing.

They once had an event called Glow in the Neon Pool Party 2015, with Wowowee's DJ Coki.

Next, I will show you one of my family's favorites. - Villa Lorenzo's KTV Room.

They always go here to drink and sing their hearts out. There are various types of KTV rooms in the area, but my cousins are musicians and they have an eye for stuff like this. They are really maselan and they don't like a karaoke or any sound system that needs a lot of fine-tuning. In short, Villa Lorenzo's KTV room definitely passed their strict taste. They often go here not to swim, but to relax, drink and rock the place. #highlyrecommended

Well, as I have mentioned, this place deserves to be featured. Villa Lorenzo Resort is already a well-known resort in Pulilan, Bulacan, but not everyone knows it's hidden spot.

First, I'd like to give you a quick background. The resort has now a different owner. He renovated the place lavishly and it is now absolutely impressive.

It has now a breathtaking private villa that was once featured  and aired in national TV.

These photos will speak for themselves.

Take a look at these stunning morning shots by Joy Faith Trajano:

I am not exaggerating, but this place looks better in person, especially at night! Yes, it looks really good in photos, but you should see it for yourself and you'll understand what I mean.

I have their contact numbers for you, just in case you want to inquire about their rates.

0932-858-4552
0917-529-9310

P.S.

They also have a restaurant, with great food and excellent ambiance.

Little Jose Bistro

They also have a convention center. Superb, right?

So there, what can you say? Is there anyone out there who knows this place? Feel free to post your comment/review/feedback.

Cheers!

Kenyo Brgr in Malolos, Bulacan: Flame Grilled to Perfection (with photos and menu)

Unknown     2/27/2016  2 comments

KENYO BRGR

Malolos, Bulacan - Definitely better than Zark's and Stackers Burger. Am I exaggerating? No. I totally recommend this and I'm rating it 9/10.
Why is it better? Aside from the price, it has this "not nakakasuyang feeling." Their food is really fresh and for me, this is the best burger that I've ever tasted.

They are only using flame grilled pure beef patties.

They only use melted cheese on their burgers and sausages.

Take a look at their quarter pounder of pure beef called "The Stacker" (obviously derived from a famous competitor). You can have this for 140php only!

They also have triple half pound burger for only 280php and different sizes of burgers.

Bacon and Cheese - 85php
Bacon and Egg - 85php
Kenyo's Cheese Burger - 65php
Kenyo Classic Burger - 50php

Here's the menu:

They are also serving hotdog meals.

Nachos for only 65php.

They will soon have this monster burger and I can't wait to try it! Lol
This is good for your whole fam and whole barkada.

And speaking of your whole barkada or buong family, unfortunately, there's a con. They don't have enough space yet. They only have a few chairs and tables for now, but I'm sure they're now working on it. There's a possibility that you need to wait for your orders, too. And that's only because of huge number of orders. In short, "dinudumog sa sarap." Lol

KENYO BRGR is located in Greenlites Bldg, Paseo Del Congreso St, Malolos, Bulacan.

The Best Home-Based Job in the Philippines for 2016: Calling Call Center Agents and Team Leaders! (PHOTOS and VIDEOS available)

Unknown     1/23/2016  9 comments

There's a lot of reasons why you're looking for an online job right now.

1. You're a mom. You want to spend more time with your kids while earning at the same time.

2. You tried so many options. You tried different online jobs, you're not satisfied with the salary, or sad to say, you hate the management. (Boo!)

3. You have a small business, but you need to earn more.

Matagal pa ang cut off, pero critical wallet day agad.

6. Pauwi ka palang pero yung mga normal na tao na kasabay mo sa jeep or FX, fresh na fresh at amoy bagong ligo. Tapos ikaw, super haggard na. Vampire mode: ON.
7. You believe in yourself. You know you can do more. You know you are good. You know your capabilities and you know what you can do. In the middle of a traffic jam, masasabi mo nalang, "Ugh. I don't deserve this."

8. You have credentials. You have a degree. You're employed, but then you sometimes ask yourself, "Ito na ba yung sahod na pinaghirapan ko?" :(

9. People judge you. They don't believe in you. You wan't to prove yourself.

10. You heard na you can earn more than a typical office worker.

IKET River: A Paradise in Bulacan (with location and photos)

Unknown     1/20/2016  16 comments

IKET River

There is only one reason why you're reading this right now. Let me guess. You want to know the location of this underrated, hidden, yet astounding spot in Bulacan called IKET RIVER? At dahil I'm a straight-forward person, sabi nga nila, "wag ng magpa ligoy ligoy pa." :)

So where is it? It's in Sitio Dos, Brgy. Camachin, DRT Bulacan

                                        (DRT, AKLE)

Honestly speaking, this place is not popular in Bulacan. Only a few Bulakenyos know where and how to get here. DRT itself is not a well-known place in Bulacan and you need perseverance if you really want to reach this paradise with crystal-clear water, nestled between a forest and astonishing  river rocks.

What's the catch?

1. The entrance fee is 10 pesos only. That is around $0.22 only!
2. There are 6 cottages. You can rent one for 150 pesos ($3-4)
3. Nipa hut with 1 room - 400 pesos (daytime)
4. According to the caretaker, you can also stay overnight, but he only gave a ballpark figure which is around 2,000 pesos if you want to use the nipa hut magdamag. Just haggle since wala pa daw nag try na mag overnight. You can always try to negotiate. :)
5. There's a large parking area.
6. There's a wet market nearby.
7. There's a grill area and you can also ask the caretaker to cook for you.

It's not easy to find IKET river if it's your first time. I strongly suggest to visit this place with your own vehicle. DRT Akle is near San Rafael and San Ildefonso, which are some of the most popular districts in Bulacan. But then, if you're a nature lover on the go and you're strict with your budget, this one's for you. Obviously, it's worth it.

Tip: Use Google Maps. You can start from SM Baliuag and use Akle Elementary School as your destination. Will post the exact directions soon.
